The Euros fill the top spots at the 1st World Cup round of cyclocross in Waterloo, Wisconsin, and the UCI Gravel Worlds took place in Italy. The World Championships on the track starts in Paris with day one and an impressive fourth place finish for Lily Williams in the scratch race.

Riders are crashing out of the Tour of Spain or leaving because of covid-19 positives except Juan Ayuso of Team UAE Emirates. The United States hosts a big one day UCI race in Maryland, and the Warren brothers look forward to the World Road Championships in Australia later in September 2022.

The Vuelta a España has completed five stages with the race moving around presently in the Basque region of Spain after the first three stages took place in the Netherlands. Team Jumbo-Visma has passed the red leaders jersey to four different riders in the first four stages, but in stage five has let it go. Spain gets its first grand tour stage win in two years with UAE Team Emerites' Marc Solar in a breakaway. The US names it's worlds squad for the upcoming championships in Australia in September.
Randy and Dean are back adding another episode on professional bicycle racing as Dean is in the Netherlands for the start of the Vuelta a España (Tour of Spain). Dean takes some photos and video and enjoyed the atmosphere as the huge cycling community of Utrecht hosts the beginning of the three week stage race. A few other races are going on now as well with Ineos' American rider Magnus Sheffield leading the Tour of Denmark going in to the final stage.

The Tour of Poland saw an American in second at the stage six time trial. The Vuelta a Burgos will be remembered this year for a speed bump causing a big crash. Americans fared well at the Mountain Bike World Cup and Randy races for the Masters Road Race stars and stripes jersey.

EF Education-EasyPost's and American Neilson Powless made it in the breakaway that went to the finish and he nearly won the stage and nearly took over the yellow jersey. Team Jumbo-Visma's Wout van Aert has demonstated amazing form and has put on a show at this year's Tour so far. The Giro Donne continues with Team Jumbo-Visma's Marianne Vos taking a couple more stages to up her total wins at the race to 32.
